Canoga Park showroom · Serving Los Angeles & the West Valley
An authorized Milgard dealer you can walk into.
Milgard windows and patio doors — measured, ordered and installed by Frontier's own crew, out of our showroom on Sherman Way.
Authorized dealer
What “authorized dealer” actually buys you
Milgard builds windows. It does not sell them to you directly — every Milgard window in a Los Angeles house came through a dealer. So the useful question is never where do I buy Milgard, it is who measured the opening, and who picks up the phone in four years when a sash sticks.
Being authorized means we can register the Full Lifetime Warranty in your name at the walkthrough, order a part against your original order number instead of guessing at a size, and get a factory rep out if a unit is genuinely defective. Buy the same window from someone who picked it up wholesale and every one of those becomes your problem.
You do not have to take our word for it. Milgard publishes its own dealer locator, and our Canoga Park showroom is on it.
Dealer, distributor, or a pallet at your curb
Three different things get sold as “Milgard windows in Los Angeles” and they are not comparable on price alone.
Online sellers ship you the units and nothing else. You measure, you receive the pallet, you install or you find someone who will — and a measurement mistake on a custom-built window is not returnable. Distributors sell to trade, not to you. A dealer measures, orders, installs, and warrants the installation separately from the window itself.
We are the third one. The number we quote includes putting the window in the wall and taking the old one away, and if the measurement is wrong it is our mistake to eat, not yours.
What is actually on the floor
The showroom is on Sherman Way, and the reason to come in is that the windows are mounted in full frames rather than leaned against a wall. You can throw the lock, slide the panel, feel how much the sash weighs and how far it opens. Brochures cannot tell you whether a slider feels cheap.
We carry Milgard and Ply Gem. Between them the lines that cover almost every West Valley house are Style Line, which retrofits over an existing aluminum frame without touching your stucco; Tuscany, with a heavier frame and the grid patterns most people want on the street-facing side; Trinsic, the thinnest vinyl frame Milgard makes, for when the view matters more than the frame; the fiberglass Ultra Series, which barely moves in Valley heat so a dark exterior colour will not bow it; and the moving glass walls that stack or pocket into the wall.
Which one you want depends on your exposure, your budget, and whether the opening is stucco or wood siding. We will tell you which at the estimate. Call before you drive out if there is a specific line you want to see, and we will tell you what is standing on the floor that week. Full specifications and the manufacturer catalogs for every line are on our Milgard series page.
How a job actually runs
We measure at your house — every opening, inside and out, plus the exposure of each elevation — and you get a written price per window rather than one whole-house number you cannot take apart. Nothing is ordered until you have chosen frame colour, grids, and which openings get tempered or obscure glass.
Then Milgard builds to your measurements, which takes three to five weeks. That is the factory, not a backlog on our end. Meanwhile we pull the permit: replacement windows are permitted work in both the City and County of Los Angeles, and Title 24 sets the efficiency minimums your new glass has to meet.
Installation is our own crew, not a sub, one to three days depending on count. Openings are never left open overnight. At the walkthrough we open and lock every sash with you standing there, register the warranty in your name, and leave the NFRC stickers on until you have read them.
Where we actually work
We are in Canoga Park, and most of what we do sits within about twenty minutes of it: Woodland Hills, West Hills, Winnetka, Chatsworth, Northridge, Reseda, Tarzana, Porter Ranch, Granada Hills, Calabasas and Encino.
We take work further into Los Angeles and we are happy to come and measure. But if you are across the city and the job is two windows, we will tell you plainly that a dealer closer to you will serve you better. That is a cheaper conversation for both of us than a bid you were never going to accept.
The ones people actually call about
Questions homeowners ask
What does "authorized Milgard dealer" actually mean?
Milgard has certified us to sell, order and install their windows, which means we can register the warranty in your name and order parts against your original order number. It is not a badge we printed ourselves — our Canoga Park showroom is listed on Milgard's own dealer locator.
Can I buy Milgard windows directly from Milgard?
No. Milgard builds the windows and sells them through dealers. Every Milgard window in a Los Angeles home came through one, so the real question is which dealer measured it and who installs it.
Which Milgard lines can I see in the showroom?
We keep windows mounted in full frames on the floor so you can open and lock them instead of judging from a brochure. We carry Milgard and Ply Gem. If you want to see a specific line, call before you drive out and we will tell you what is standing on the floor that week.
Is going through a dealer more expensive than ordering online?
The window itself is competitive. What differs is everything around it — an online order arrives on a pallet at your curb, measured by you, and a mistake on a custom-built window is not returnable. We measure every opening ourselves, and the number we quote includes installation and hauling the old windows away.
What happens if a Milgard window fails years after you installed it?
You call us, not Milgard. Because we ordered it, your original order number tells us the exact size, glass package and hardware in that opening, so a replacement sash or a new balance is a phone call rather than an investigation. The Full Lifetime Warranty covers the window, the glass and the parts including the labour to fix it, and our installation is warranted separately by us.
How far will you travel?
Most of our work is the west San Fernando Valley, within roughly twenty minutes of the Canoga Park showroom. We go further for larger jobs. If you are on the other side of the city, say so when you call and we will give you a straight answer about whether we are the right dealer for you.
