The line that goes into most Valley houses
If we quote your job and you do not have a strong preference, this is probably what is on the estimate. Style Line is Milgard’s value vinyl line, and in this market it is the default for a reason rather than because it is the cheapest thing we can get.
The frame is narrow for a vinyl window, which matters more than it sounds. Frame width comes straight out of your glass: two windows in the same rough opening, one with a chunky frame and one without, and the narrow one is visibly a bigger window from inside the room.
Why it suits a stucco house
Style Line comes in a flush fin, which is the configuration that installs over an existing aluminium frame. No cutting stucco, no patching, no repainting an elevation, and most rooms done in a day. On a 1970s Valley tract house that is the entire job, and it is why a Style Line retrofit is usually the least disruptive path from single-pane aluminium to dual-pane low-E.

What you give up against Tuscany
Style Line has fewer shape options and a smaller range of grid patterns. If you want a true bay, an arched or radius unit, or a specific colonial grid to match the rest of the street, Tuscany carries more of that. The hardware is lighter too — not flimsy, but you can feel the difference in the lock and the sash weight if you handle both, which is exactly why we keep them mounted on the floor.
For a rear elevation, a bedroom, a bathroom, or any opening nobody is admiring from the pavement, that difference is not worth paying for. On the front of a house it sometimes is. We will say which we think you are looking at.
The numbers
Style Line is available with the same low-E glass packages as the rest of the vinyl range, so the energy performance is a function of the glass you specify rather than the line itself. What varies is the exact U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient for your configuration and size, and we put those on the written quote rather than guessing at them here. Every unit ships with the NFRC sticker in the corner, and we leave it on until you have read it.

Is Style Line the cheap Milgard line?
It is the value line, which is not the same thing. It uses the same glass packages and carries the same Full Lifetime Warranty as the rest of the vinyl range. What you give up is shape variety, grid choice and some hardware weight — not the parts that determine how the window performs.
What is the difference between Style Line and Tuscany?
Tuscany has a heavier beveled frame, better hardware and far more shapes and grid patterns. Style Line has a narrower frame, so slightly more glass in the same opening, and costs less. Most of our jobs use Style Line on the sides and back and Tuscany where the house faces the street.
Does Style Line come as a retrofit?
Yes, in a flush fin that installs over your existing aluminium frame. That is the most common way it goes into a Valley house — no stucco cut, no repaint, most rooms finished in a day.
What colours does it come in?
The standard exterior colours are in the brochure linked above. Dark exterior colours are worth a conversation on a west-facing wall: vinyl expands more than fiberglass in heat, so for a dark colour on a hot elevation we will usually point you at Ultra Series instead.
Can I get a Style Line window in a shape?
Some, but the range is narrower than Tuscany's. If you need a radius top, a true bay, or an unusual grid to match neighbouring windows, bring a photo and we will tell you which line can actually build it before you get attached to a price.
